Saving When Photoshop Won't Save

Ever had Photoshop stall when saving large files? I have. The first time was panic inducing and struck at the worst possible time. Fear not - there's a way to save your work without losing anything! The issue seems to have crept into Photoshop with the "Background Save" functionality. Simply toggling that option in Photoshop Preferences (turn it off if it's on, or on if it's off) will allow you to save. Voila. Day Saved.

I can say with 100% certainty this works with Adobe Photoshop CS6 / Windows 7 / Mapped Network Drives because that's my work setup. I'm almost certain I've seen it work in the latest CC but your mileage may vary. Give it a try next time Photoshop won't save.
